The department of preparatory courses at the Tajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzoda has been operating since September 2012. Previously, this department was subordinate to the Department of Science, Innovation and Graduate Studies. This department has been operating since September 2012.
Classes are held 5 days a week. In these courses, in accordance with the requirements of the National Testing Center under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in cluster 3, during 6 months of training, participants are taught the following subjects: Tajik language and literature, history of the Tajik people, Russian, English, mathematics and human rights. At the end of the year, applicants pass the specified test exams and receive certificates.
The above mentioned courses are taught by experienced teachers and scholars. In order to attract students in institutions and gymnasiums, the preparatory department carries out propaganda work and regular conversations with graduates of schools and gymnasiums. To attract listeners, advertisements are given in periodicals and radio.
